OVERVIEW
Below are the steps you need to follow to begin using your Kensington KS-EC-10L-E pocket conductivity tester. This
manual will cover how insert the batteries, using the function keys, making measurements, calibration and sensor
replacement.
INSERTING THE BATTERIES
1. Your KS-EC-10L-E pocket pH tester comes with one G13a button battery. Remove it from the package.
2. Remove the button cap found on the bottom of the tester as shown in the above image.
3. Place the battery into its designated slot. Take note of the proper position of the battery to ensure the polarities
placed correctly.
4. Replace the battery cap.

Function
1. Serves as the power button of the tester
2. Initiates Data Hold. Press once to hold the current reading, press again to resume making
measurements.
3. Exit button during calibration
1. Press once to conduct calibration of the instrument
2. Press the button again to choose the type of buffer used in the calibration.
1. Press to show the current temperature during measurement mode
2. Decreases the setting value in calibration mode.

  • Page 2 KS-EC-10L-E | Pocket Conductivity Tester CONDUCTIVITY CALIBRATION It is recommended that the KS-EC-10L-E should be calibrated regularly to ensure accurate measurements. The KS- EC-10L-E allows 1 point calibration and the instrument’s acceptable calibration ranges from 100 to 180 µS/cm. These solutions are sold separately.
  • Page 3 ELECTRODE REPLACEMENT One of the advantages of using the Kensington KS-EC-10L-E is that the sensor can be replaced instead of buying a new tester when the sensor fails during calibration. Removing and installing the sensor is easy and convenient and also increases the utility of the instrument as additional sensors can be purchased for different applications.
