On/Off Switch OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Before using your kettle If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean the inside before use. This can be done by filling the kettle with water to maximum capacity, boiling the kettle and then discarding the boiled water down the sink. Wipe the surface with damp cloth.     Boil Dry Protection Should you accidentally operate the kettle without water; the boil-dry protection will automatically switch off the power. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water to re-boil.
