Before Playing Before Playing Caution ! The piston is the most important part of the trumpet. Setting the Mouthpiece Never treat the pistons roughly, drop the piston, or let the piston fall, etc. If you neglect applying oil to the Pistons, they will not work well. Insert the mouthpiece into the mouthpiece receiver.

Before Playing Before Playing Press the Pistons Placing the instrument Press the pistons straight. Take care as to where and how you place the instrument. If you press the pistons at a slant, pistons may wear partially, resulting function failure. Placing the instrument where it is unstable may cause the instrument to fall or drop.
