Very cold conditions may temporarily shorten battery life and could cause the device to turn off. Front Row does generate heat during operation to help keep the battery pack from getting too cold and therefore help minimize a reduction in run times. Front Row does include a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack, which holds up best in cold temperatures.
