EtherRain employs a reliable command protocol whereby only one command is required in order to execute a full irrigation cycle. Multiple EtherRain controllers can exist on a single network. Scheduling applications are available to create 16, 24, and 32 zone controllers from multiple EtherRain devices. - Page 3 3. Verify that your network has a DHCP server to provide the controller with an IP address. Most networks have this service. EtherRain can be configured with a static address, but requires use of DHCP to initially configure. 4. Connect the controller to your network by plugging one end of an Ethernet patch cable into the controller and the other end into open switch port.

- Page 7 User Interface Applications EtherRain does not have a built-in user interface. Instead, it uses a set of applications in order to provide the user interface. This interface strategy results in a much easier-to-use interface experience while providing a much more powerful scheduling service without the need to constantly update and patch the device firmware.
