    Battery Status and Low Level Battery Warn ng Battery status/warn ng: Upon n t al start up, the Au GOLD FINDER w ll em t a number of beeps to nd cate the battery status. Battery status/warn ng cons sts of f ve (5) levels w th f ve (5) represent ng fully charged and one (1) represent ng nearly depleted charge status.

    The Au GOLD FINDER operates on the mot on pr nc ple: If the search co l s not mov ng, the Au GOLD FINDER w ll not detect targets even f the co l s d rectly over a metal target.

    In DISC.1 FAST and DISC.2 DEEP modes, the Au GOLD FINDER w ll produce a low tone for ron and pos t ve hot rocks. For all other metals, detector w ll produce a s ngle tone wh ch ncreases n volume and p tch as the co l approaches the target.
  • Page 12 NOTE: Nuggets under hot rocks may generate a low tone ( ron tone) and th s s totally normal. RECOMMENDATION: Fam l ar ze yourself w th the Au GOLD FINDER aud o tones by test ng d fferent metal targets and hot rocks pr or to use n the f eld.

    Th s overload tone resembles a cont nuous s ren sound. When you hear th s tone, s mply ra se the co l and cont nue sweep ng the area. Th s w ll allow the Au GOLD FINDER to recover from overload, process target and prov de proper response.
