Hi. My granddaughter has BLT999W13 that is not switching on. It's about 3 years old. I've taken the glass front off and checked it has power which is fine. Was hoping for easy access to the inside but I don't want to dismantle it until I know the problem possibilities and whether spare parts are available. Is there an internal fuse? There will be a thermal cutout - could that have failed? Is there a pcb which potentially has a problem component? Regard Peter

Common issues that may prevent the JR Home BLT-999W-13 electric fireplace from switching on include:

1. Overheating or Tripped Circuit Breaker – The internal components may overheat, or the home circuit breaker may trip. Solution: Reset the switch by turning off the home master switch, waiting 5 minutes, and turning it back on.
2. Loose Wiring or Defective Flame Motor – If the flame is not moving, wiring may be loose, or the flame motor may be defective. Solution: Contact customer service for instructions.
3. Burnt-out LED Lights or Loose Wiring – If the flame is dim or poorly visible, the LED lights may be burnt out, or wiring may be loose. Solution: Contact customer service for replacement instructions.
4. Defective Flame Motor – If the flame sputters, the flame motor may need replacement. Solution: Contact customer service.
5. Remote Control Issues – If the remote control does not work, the battery may be low, or the master switch may be off. Solution: Replace the battery and ensure the master switch is turned on.
6. Improper Circuit Current Rating – If the circuit breaker trips or the fuse blows when the unit is on, the circuit current rating may be incorrect. Solution: Contact customer service.

Potential spare parts that may be needed include:
- Replacement LED lights
- Replacement flame motor
- Remote control battery
- Circuit components (if damaged)

For further assistance, contacting customer service is recommended.
