• Advanced: Configure the advanced settings and perform the battery calibration.
• Security: Configure security functions.
• Boot: Configure boot-related settings.
Setting the boot password
Setting a password with the BIOS enhances protection against viruses and hacking attacks.
On the BIOS screen, tap Security.
The following password settings are available:
• Supervisor Password: This password is required when turning on the device or entering
the BIOS screen. This password allows you to enter the BIOS screen as an administrator.
You can change the BIOS settings.
• User Password: This password is required when turning on the device or entering the
BIOS screen. This password allows you to enter the BIOS screen as a user. You cannot
change the BIOS settings. The password will be deactivated automatically if the
supervisor password is removed.
Do not forget your password or expose it to others.
• If you forget your supervisor password, contact a Samsung Service Centre.
• If you forget your user password, you can remove it by removing the supervisor
password.

Setting a boot password

To set a user password, you must set the supervisor password first.

Tap Set Supervisor Password or Set User Password.

Enter a password and tap Ok.
The password can be up to 20 characters long.

Enter the password again and tap Ok.

Tap Save to save the password and restart the device.
