    • Install in a well-lit, dry, covered area from the elements and keep at least one window open at all times during the installation. Do not leave the ikey inside the detection range. Prepare all tools required for the installation. Special tools may be necessary depending on vehicle.

    CONNECTIONS - HARNESS Push Button Start Module Main Harness Wiring Descriptions Main Harness 8-Pin 14-16 Gauge Pink NOT USED NOT USED White OUTPUT STARTER Connect this output to the vehicle’s Starter input at the ignition switch. IMPORTANT: Ensure that the ignition current is not rated for more than 30A. Connect to external relay with higher current rating if required.

    This wire provides a constant 500mA negative output while the vehicle is in ACC,RUN and CRANK positions. The output becomes active 0.5 sec before ACC is on, and becomes inactive when the PBS module shuts down the vehicle. The output can be used to control a data or bypass module.

    INSTALLATION INSTALLATION OVERVIEW Use the following steps as a guide to install this system: Review the products Install Immobilizer/Data Review Installation Notes manual and vehicle’s Bypass if required. and set PKE jumper electrical service manual. Connect Main and settings according to Prepare vehicle for Accessory Harness to the customer requirements.

    STEERING COLUMN LOCK BYPASS To achieve a completely keyless ignition system the OEM steering column lock needs to be bypassed. You can completely remove the cylinder or physically disable the steering column lock or use the shaved key method. The “Shaved-Key” method is an easy way to bypass this function: 1.

    How does Push Button Start work and how do I know if it is working normally? Refer to “Push Button Start Overview” on page 6 for Push Button Start ignition Sequence and follow the “TESTING AND TROUBLESHOOTING” diagram on page 9 to verify the system is working properly. Why is the Start button dead / not working? Check the system's input power, Check to make sure the unit has a good ground signal, also make sure the authorization wire is hooked up to the PKE unit.

    My engine is running how do I turn it off? To exit RUN mode, apply the brake and press and hold the button for 2+ sec to switch back to OFF mode. Why do I have to press the button 2x to start engine? Some vehicles do not supply power to the brake switch when the vehicle is OFF .
