BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE

Apply the brake for a few minutes. Check to see if any brake
fluid leaks out from the pipe joints or the master cylinder.
WARNING
If brake fluid leakage is found, consult a Yamaha
dealer for immediate repairs.
CAUTION :
Brake fluid may deteriorate painted surfaces or plastic
parts. Never spill any fluid. If any is spilled, clean it up
immediately.

V-BELT

Open the shroud and remove the V-belt guard.
Check the V-belt for wear and damage. Replace if neces-
sary.
Wear limit 1: 33 mm (1.30 in)

WARNING
Be sure the V-belt guard is tightened securely
before operating the machine.
Never run the engine without the V-belt or with the
V-belt guard removed.

DRIVE V-BELT GUARD

Check the drive belt guard mounts for damage. Make sure
that the drive belt guard is firmly in place.
