- Page 5 M O U N T I N G T H E M I C R O P H O N E 1. Screw the shock mount onto the threaded post of a mic stand or the included desktop tripod. 2. Once secure, remove the locking ring on the bottom of the shock mount, and place the base of the microphone through mounting hole.
