    Information capture from the two differing views will be combined and interpreted into depth data, which are inversely proportional to the differences in distance to the objects. FootfallCam 3D Plus is an industrial leading product, and have many advantages over the older generation people counter such as beam counter, thermal counter, 2D video counter, and etc.

    1.3 How Does Wi-Fi Technology Works Wi-Fi technology on Footfallcam 3D Plus added a lot of contextual data on top of In and Out data. FootfallCam counter is a Wi- Fi hotspot itself. It is able to detect the Wi-Fi signals emitted by the smartphones. It able to differentiate visitors based on the unique identifier associated with the Wi-Fi enabled devices.

    The user will only be responsible for the first two parts of the installation process. The installer will use the configuration details provided by the user during the third part of the installation process. After the installation is complete and the FootfallCam is mounted, the user may request for a verification processed by the FootfallCam Verification Team.

    2.0 Register New Account After you have purchase a FootfallCam counter, you may begin to register for a FootfallCam Analytic Viewing account. If you would like to use the FootfallCam Cloud Solution, you may easily create your account on our website.

All that is needed on site will be the cable installation, requiring only 1x Cat5e cable from the IT router to the counter. The only drilling required is for cabling, and becomes hidden once the equipment is installed. In some cases, no drilling is necessary.

    If it does not hit the satisfactory accuracy, the user may submit a re-verification request form and allow Footfallcam verification specialists configure the counting settings. Users can access the Accuracy Audit page by selecting Counter Accuracy from the menu on the left sidebar.
  • Page 37 7.2.1 How to Schedule Recordings for Verification Customers that wish to conduct their own verification study may schedule video recordings and manually count the number of visitors and their direction of travel, against the counting data obtained. Once all the data has been imported, it will take up to a week for all reports to be generated using the historical data.

This allows users to manually export the data in a readable format, pull the data via a script, or directly pull the data straight to a user’s FTP server.

    Part 5: Footfall Analytics Metrics This chapter provides information on the different metrices FootfallCam uses. The most basic function of FootfallCam is bi-directional counting which is conducted via video counting. The rest of the features of FootfallCam is done via Wi-Fi counting. With the increasing usage in smartphone, Wi-Fi counting is the preferred method in analysing Wi-Fi analytics such as visit duration, returning customers, zone analytics, and outside traffic.
