Note:
If you have set up your voice mail box number correctly, you can press the 1
key in the standby mode to access the voice mailbox.
The voice mail function is network dependent. You need to subscribe to the
service. For the voice mailbox number and other information, contact the
service provider.

Message Settings

Setting the Service Center Number
The service provider provides the short messaging service center (SMSC) number. If you
have entered the SMSC number, it is displayed. You can delete or change it. Make sure that
the number is correct before sending messages.
1. Select Menu > Messages > Message Settings > Service Center.
2. Enter the SMSC number and press
Setting the Delivery Report
1. Select Menu > Messages > Message Settings > Report.
2. Select Yes and No. If you select Yes, a delivery report is received after you send a
message, telling you the status of the message.
Setting the Validity Period
The validity period means how long a message is stored in the SMSC.
1. Select Menu > Messages > Message Settings > Validity.
2. Select 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, or Max.
Setting the Save Function
Set the SIM card or the FWT as the prioritized memory. For example, if you select the SIM
card, messages are saved to the SIM card first. When the SIM card memory is full, some of
the messages stored in the SIM card are moved to the FWT memory.
1. Select Menu > Messages > Message Settings > Save to.
2. Select SIM first or Phone first.
Setting the Auto-Save Function
1. Select Menu > Messages > Message Settings > Auto Save to set the auto-save
function.
