- Page 4 OPERATION 1. Open the diffuser by carefully turning the top ½ of the unit clockwise. 2. Remove the cotton filter holder (see illustration) under the lid, by turning counter-clockwise. Set aside. 3. Fill the bottom half with 150 ml (5.25 oz ) of tepid (not hot) water. Remove the cotton filter from the filter holder and allow it to soak in the water until its completely soaked (5 minutes).
