- Page 2 Quick Guide to Using the Axia Console All About Your Profile Choices One of the exciting features of our Axia Element audio system is the ability to save “preset” choices of channels for various purposes. Our console has 14 channels, but we have more than 21 different audio sources available to use in the studio.
- Page 3 Quick Guide to Using the Axia Console The (Lo/Mid/Hi Stereo) designation in the profile refers to the settings on the VP88 Stereo Microphone. The VP88 microphone is the microphone that is mounted on a separate stand in the corner of the studio, under the air conditioner. It’s a special stereo microphone that has 4 different settings.
- Page 4 There is no “perfect” placement because it depends on the size of the group performing. Following are the steps to follow to change presets/profiles on the Axia Element console. The instructions are specifically for Studio C, however, the process works exactly the same in the Production studio.

When you press the PROFILE button this second time, the Axia display screen will change from the Profile Selection Screen back to the clock: That’s it! You’re all done! You have changed profiles! These profiles contain pre-selected arrangements of equipment and channels. The primary differences between the profiles are the arrangements of microphone channels.
