    IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following: 1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS. All users must read and understand this instruction manual before operating or cleaning this appliance. 2. The cord to this appliance should be plugged into a 120 V AC electrical outlet only. 3.

    USING YOUR CONTACT GRILL BEFORE USE • Unpack the contact grill and place it on a flat countertop. Wipe the outer surface and non-stick plates with a damp cloth. • To help protect the non-stick surface, coat the grill plates with a layer of vegetable oil before preheating.
  • Page 7 CLEANING, MAINTENANCE & STORAGE CLEANING & MAINTENANCE • Remove the drip tray and clean it under water using mild detergent and a non-abrasive sponge. • Unplug the appliance and wait until it cools down completely before cleaning. • Wipe the Lid, Cooking Plate and Cover with an absorbent paper tow- el or a soft cloth.
