1 Intended use The boombox Fatboy is a portable boombox with a double subwoofer system. The device plays music from USB devices and memory cards (SD MP3). Listen to the radio via the FM function. 5 Do not use the device in a humid environment. 5 Due the wide variety of products with USB ports, mobile devices and their manufacturer-specific functions we cannot guarantee that all devices will be recognized or all operating options can function. 5 Read the manual carefully before the first use.

This will avoid fire, explosions, electric shocks or other hazards that may result in damage to property and/ or severe or fatal injuries. 1 The manufacturer is not liable for cases of material damage or personal injury caused by incorrect handling or non compliance with the safety instructions. CAUTION 1 Do not put the appliance near a heat source. This could damage the appliance. 1 Put the appliance on a horizontal flat surface. 1 Keep minimum (50 mm) space around the device for optimal ventilation. Remarks 5 If this appliance is equipped with rubber feet to prevent it from moving: The feet are made from non-migrating material specially formulated to avoid leaving any marks or stains on furniture. However, certain types of furniture polishes, wood preservatives or cleaning sprays cause the rubber to soften and leave marks or a residue on the furniture, and potentially risk the surface to become damaged. To prevent damage to wooden surfaces, we recommend that you apply self-adhesive pads to the bottom of the rubber feet before installation. 5 We recommend that you retain the original carton and packing materials in case it ever becomes necessary to return your product for service. This is the only way to safely protect the product against damage in transit. If you do dispose of the carton and the packing materials, please remember to recycle with due care to the environment.
3 Preparations for use 3.1 Unpacking • Unpack the appliance carefully. • Check the package contents as described below. If any item is missing, please contact your reseller. 5 We recommend that you retain the original carton and packing materials in case it ever becomes necessary to return your product for service. 4 Installation 4.1 Connecting to the mains • Connect the mini USB output to the device (27) and put the USB output into the adapter. • Connect the mains plug to a wall socket.

6 Operation • To switch on the appliance, press the STANDBY button ON/OFF (8). • To select the source mode (BLUETOOTH), press the FUNCTION button • You can choose from: FM, USB, SD, AUX, BLUETOOTH. • Select the desired source. • Press the button Volume up (16) or the button Volume down (18) to set the volume. 6.1 Radio functions 5 There is only a FM tuner available. • To switch on the appliance, press the STANDBY button ON/OFF (8). • Slide out the antenna • To select the source mode (FM), press the Function button 9. Automatically adjust the frequency • To select the desired radio station, press the button PREVIOUS (Station/Next) or keep the button 2 (19) seconds pressed in for a few seconds until you find the desired radio frequency. • The frequency is shown on the display. Adjust the frequency manually • To tune to the station of your choice, press the Station/Previous 19 button or the Station/Next 22 button repeatedly until the frequency is found.

Save a radiostation into the memory 5 You can set max. 20 stations. • Go to the radio station which needs to be set in the memory. • Press the Prog/Mem button (15). • On the display appears "P-01".. “01” flashes. This shows the number of the set memory station. • Press the Station/Previous 19 or Station/Next (22) key to select a memory location. • Press Prog/Mem (15) to confirm. • On the display appears "MEM”. This radio frequency is saved in the memory. Activating a stored function • Press the Memory+/Folder+ button (17). • On the display appears the number of the saved frequency. • Press multiple times on the button Memory+/Folder+ (17) to navigate throught the stations.
6.2 USB functions Place the USB stick 5 The device can only files music from MP3 format. • To switch on the appliance, press the STANDBY button ON/OFF (8). • Insert the USB stick.(21) • To select the source mode (USB), press the FUNCTION button 9. • On the display appears "USB" (F) and the quantity of tracks. • Press the button Play/Pause/Pair (14) to play the current track or use the buttons Station/Previous (19) and Station/Next (22) to navigate through the folder. See "Repeat functions" paragraph 6.6 how a track can be repeated. 5 It can take a few seconds before the device can read the USB stick. 5 Turn the device off before removing the USB stick. Charge devices 5 The device must be connected with the main plug to a wall socket before charging other devices. • Use the USB output to charge other divices like your MP3-player, mobile phone... • The red light lights up (3).
6.3 Memory card functions • To switch on the appliance, press the STANDBY button ON/OFF (8). • Place a SD memory card in the device. • To select the source mode (SD), press the FUNCTION button 9. • On the display appears "CARD" () and the quantity of tracks. See "Repeat functions" paragraph 6.6 how a track can be repeated. 5 It can take a few seconds before the device can read the SD memorycard. 5 Turn the device off before removing the SD memorycard. 6.4 AUX IN You can connect the boombox Fatboy to different devices like your mobile phone, MP3-player, laptop... • To switch on the appliance, press the STANDBY button ON/OFF (8). • To select the source mode (AUX), press the FUNCTION button 9. • To connect an external audio device, insert the cable plug in the AUX IN jack (26). On the display appears "AUX" () and the quantity of tracks.
6.5 Bluetooth connection 5 We can not guarantee that all Bluetooth devices are compatible. 5 In order to prevent disruptions while listening to music using Bluetooth, turn off the Wi-Fi of your device. Make a Bluetooth connection You can wirelessly connect the boombox Fatboy to devices that have Bluetooth. • To switch on the appliance, press the STANDBY button ON/OFF (8). • To select the source mode (BLUETOOTH), press the FUNCTION button • The blue LED indicator flashes slowly. • Turn the Bluetooth on of the device which you want to connect. • The blue LED indicator flashes fast. 5 NOTE: your Bluetooth connection has a range of approximately 10 metres • Connect the device to the boombox Fatboy like a mobile phone. The name of the Bluetooth connection is FATBOY. • The blue LED indicator lights up but does not flashes. • The Bluetooth device is connected. 6.6 Playlists Program track sequence You can set the play order of the track. 5 You can set max. 20 tracks. 5 To program the order of playback, current playback must be stopped. • To stop playback, press the Prog/Mem button (15). • Use the buttons PREVIOUS (22) or the buttons Station/Next (19) to search in the folder. • On the display appears "P-01".. “01” flashes. This shows the number of the set memory station. • Press Prog/Mem 15 to confirm. • Press the button Prog/Mem (15) to programm another track. Play the playlist • Press the button Play/Pause/Pair (14) to play the playlist. Delete the playlist • Press twice on the button Prog/Mem (15) to delete a playlist. Repeat functions You can set the repeat function or shuffle function. Press muliple times on the button (). You can choose from: FOLDER In the table below you find an explanation of the icons. 6.7 Controlling high-pitched and low-pitched sounds Setting the bass (low-pitched sounds) • Use the Bass (10) and (12) buttons to set the bass (low-pitched sounds). • On the display appears "b:#". # is the set value. • You can set the bass from -8 to 8. Setting the treble (high-pitched sounds) • Use the (11) and (13) buttons to set the treble (high-pitched sounds). • On the display appears "t:#". # is the set value. • You can set the treble from -8 to 8.
7 Accessories 1 Only use original accessories from the manufacturer. A belt is also included in the received package of the boombox Fatboy. Use this belt to hold the radio.
8 Cleaning and maintenance 6 Turn the device off and remove the main plug out the socket before you start cleaning the device. 6 It is not permitted to open the product yourself or to have it opened, neither is it permitted to repair the product yourself or to have it repaired. This will void the warranties. Please let any maintenance be carried out by certified maintenance personnel. • Clean the outside of the appliance with a soft cloth. When the appliance is very dirty, dampen the cloth slightly with water and a neutral solution.
