    1.1.1 Preparing the Remote Control for Operation The remote control and its batteries are packed separately in the original DVD recorder packaging. You must install the batteries in the remote control before use.     2. INSTALLING YOUR DVD RECORDER INTRODUCTION Setup encompasses setting general options such as language, clock and so on that are applicable to DVD Playing and recording functions. Other setup options apply to specific functions of the DVD recorder. Ensure that the scart cable is connected between your DVD recorder and your TV. Select AV on your TV and you should see the Following On Screen Display.

Ø If the DVD Recorder audio outputs are connected to an A/V receiver, turn on the receiver and make the appropriate selections to play audio from the DVD Recorder.
