begin flowing through the filter basket. Make sure carafe is placed all the way
onto the warming plate.
CAUTION: Do NOT remove carafe for longer than 30 seconds or the filter basket
may overflow.
Water Window: Large, easy-to-read numbers indicate how many cups of water
still need to brew.
Power Switch: Lets you know when the coffeemaker is on and ready for
brewing.
Easy Pour Carafe: Easy grip handle for added comfort. Cup markings on each
side of the handle make it easier to measure the water level when filling the

Preparing Your Coffeemaker Before Use:
• Carefully unpack the coffeemaker and remove all packaging materials.
• Before making coffee in your coffeemaker, thoroughly clean the carafe, carafe
lid and filter basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry. Do NOT use harsh
or abrasive cleaners.
• You may wipe the warming plate with a clean, damp cloth. However, do NOT
immerse the coffeemaker in water or any other liquid.
• Prior to brewing your first pot of coffee, operate coffeemaker once or twice with
water, but without ground coffee or a paper filter. This will remove any dust that
may have settled inside the coffeemaker which might affect the flavor of coffee.
IMPORTANT: Use cold water for best results.
Preparing Your Coffeemaker for Brewing Coffee:
• Place your coffeemaker on a flat, level and heat-resistant surface away from
any edge.
• Plug the unit into a 120-volt, 60Hz AC only outlet.
• The lid of the glass carafe must be placed properly on the carafe during the
brewing process, and the carafe must be set on the warming plate.
• The filter basket door must be properly closed during the brewing process.
CAUTION: If the filter basket door is not completely closed, the Pause 'n Serve
