    Low Wattage Double Hot Plate leisure products Additional Safety Instructions • Do not use this product with a damaged cord or plug or when the product has malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. • All repairs including to the plug or cord should be made by a competent qualified repair service. Do not repair this product yourself. • Note: To avoid danger by accidental resetting the thermal protection, this product may not be powered through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that regularly will be switched on or off. • Do not use this product near direct heat sources. • Do not use this product in the bathroom or near a sink filled with water. If this product has fallen into the water do not under no circumstances directly grab this product, but first pull the plug from the socket. • Make sure that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the table or counter, does not touch any hot surfaces or is coming directly into contact with the hot parts of the product. Do not place the product underneath or close to curtains, window coverings etc. • Children shall not play with the product. • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. • Keep the product and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years. • The hot plates on this product should never be used without cooking utensils on top of the hot plate. • Oil and fat being heated are not to be left unattended or without adult supervision at all times. • The Hot Plate must be turn to “0”setting and disconnected from the power outlet when not in use. • Cooking utensils, regardless of their size, should not project beyond the Hot Plate or intrude into the area of close proximity of the controls.     Low Wattage Double Hot Plate leisure products General Use • For the most efficient operation of your Hot Plate the cooking utensils used should have a solid base and be as even as possible, and with a diameter of approx.18 to 20cm and a maximum capacity of 1.5litres (750W hot plate).and a diameter of approx.15 to 17cm and a maximum capacity of 1L (500W hot plate). • The base diameter of cooking utensils smaller than the diameter of the Hot Plate should not be used. • Utensils with convex, concave or uneven bottoms should not be used. • Cooking utensils, regardless of their size, should not project beyond the Hot Plate or intrude into the area of close proximity of the controls. • This hotplate features an overheat cut off, so if the temperature gets too hot is will cut out. This gives you added peace of mind, but should never be relied upon to allow leave the hot plate unsupervised. Cooking Food • Turn the controls to the recommended position marked to achieve the desired temperature. • NOTE: Both hot plates can be used at the same time, however care must be exercised to prevent the cooking utensil handles from protruding over the adjacent hot plate. • IMPORTANT. When not in use always turn the controls to the “0”position and disconnect from the power outlet. • Heat Settings (used as a guide only) 1.     Low Wattage Double Hot Plate leisure products Cleaning and Maintenance • Remove the plug from the outlet and let the product cool down. • Clean the outside with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, steel wool or a scouring pad as this may damage the product • Do not immerse in water or other liquid. Do not place the product in the dishwasher to clean. • Clean the painted surface with a damp soft cloth and mild household cleaning powder. • Baked on marks on the circular Hot Plate can be removed with a household cleaning powder. Turn the unit on for a moment to dry after cleaning • Commercially available Hot Plate cleaners are recommended to preserve the natural finish of the Hot Plate Warranty Information • This product comes with a full 12 month manufacturers defect warranty and covers any manufacturers defects for one (1) year from the date of the original purchase. It does not cover any damage occured though: • The product falling or being dropped. • The product has been technically changed by the owner or another third party • Improper use of the product and normal wear and tear. • The affected part will be replaced or repaired (manufacturers option) if they are found to be defective within the one (1) year time frame. • The warranty will be void if the product has been subject to neglect, misuse, improper installation, misapplication, alteration or accident including, but not limited to, improper installation, maintenance or use of unauthorised parts or attachments. • Damage caused by not following the instruction manual in full will invalidate the warranty, if this results in consequential damages, Quest will not be liable for these damages or any costs incurred due to these damages.
