    Setting Up Plug the 5V/1A USB mains adaptor in to a suitable power outlet. Connect the USB cable from the mains adaptor to the record player. Unfasten the front catches and raise the lid of the case. Remove the cable twist that secures the tone arm in place so it is ready for use. Remove the cartridge cover and keep it safe.

    Playing a Record Setting the speed On the record label itself there will be a direction to what speed the record should be played at. This will be either: • 33 RPM • 45 RPM • 78 RPM Move the RPM switch to the appropriate speed setting. Placing the Record Always handle records by the edge and/or label.

    Maintenance Replacing the Stylus After 75-100 hours of use with the needle supplied it is advised you replace the stylus to keep good sound quality and minimise and possible damage to the record. To do this you will need to slide the styles down and away from the cartridge on the tone arm.

    Maintenance Replacing the Cartridge If you want to upgrade or replace your cartridge you can by removing the existing one. You will need a small flat head screwdriver in order to do this. Remove the stylus as previously describe on page 7 before attempting to remove the cartridge in order to protect the stylus.

    AUX IN It is possible to play a device through the record case’s speakers by connecting a 3.5mm audio cable to ‘AUX IN’ port. Make sure the connected device is set at maximum output volume. Use the volume dial on the record player case to adjust the final output volume level. Recording from a Record Method 1 It is possible to make a recording of a record on your PC or laptop.

    Method 2 It is possible to make a recording of a record on your PC or laptop. You will need to connect the ‘USB B’ end of the lead to the back of the record player case, and the standard USB end into a USB port on a PC or Laptop.

    Alternative Audio Output It is possible to connect the record player to an external speaker system like an amp stack or a Line In/Audio In port on a device. Connect a phono cable (not supplied) to the appropriate colour ports on both the record player and external device.

    Crackling Sound This can be caused by dirt on the record or the stylus and static. • Clean the record with a carbon fibre record brush following the grooves to remove general dust and debris. • Clean the stylus with a carbon fibre stylus brush starting from the back and brush forward to remove general dust and debris.
