Server configuration Minimum server specifications It is recommended that terminal services server meets minimal hardware requirements depending on user quantity. It is suggested to provide at least a half of CPU thread and 1GB RAM per user. It i salso suggested to configure server storage using RAID matrix and dual port network card.

After booting please select language, time and currency preferences and keyboard layout. Than press „Next”. To start installation press „Install now”.

Please select Windows Server Standard with Desktop Experience. Next, please accept license terms.

Next please select installation type. In most cases please choose „Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)” option. Next step is to create partitions according to your requirements. Pressing the „Next” buton will start installation process.

After file copying and installing process, the server will reboot. After reboot please set up Administrator password.
Creating NIC Teaming. In cases that server has multiple network interface cards, you can create NIC Team, what increase network connections performance and stability. If server has only one network interface card please go to next step. To create NIC Teaming please run „Server Manager”, then choose „Local server” page and „NIC Teaming: Disabled” option.

After opening the NIC Teaming window select „Tasks” button in „Teams” window part and next choose „New Team” option. It is needed to set up team name and choose interfaces that will be included in team. The additional team configuration in most cases will be simillar as on the image below. After creating the team please check that interfaces works properly. It is recommended to set up static IP address to NIC Team interface.

After checkicng the recommendations go to the next page of installer clicking „Next”. Next select „Remote Desktop Services Installation” option.

Next please select „MultiPoint Services” option and click „Next”. Next please select server where you want to deploy MultiPoint service.

To end deployment check the „Restart the destination server autoamtically if required” option and confirm clicking „Deplyoy” button. After installation process, the server will reboot automatically.

In some cases after reboot you will see a configuration error screen caused by invalid video card driver installer on the system. To solve the problem press any key to close message, log on using Administrator account and install proper video card driver.
Creating user accounts It is required to create new user accounts for users working on Avtek ZERO clients. To create those accounts run „MultiPoint Manager” and go to the „Users” page. Next, select the „Add user account” option. It is required to set up user name, full name (optional) and user password.

Select type of new user account. For users with restricted rights select „Standard user”, for users with Administrator rights select „MultiPoint Dahsboard user” or „Administrative user”. Finally, we receive confirmation of creating new user account.
Avtek ZERO configuration Terminal assignment to server To assign Avtek ZERO to the server it is needed to install MultiPoint add-on and zero-client video driver. Download the newest version of drivers from www.vidis.pl website (filename „Avtek_ZERO_Drivers.zip”). Unpack the „Avtek_ZERO_Drivers.zip” file. The archive contains two files that must be installed. After restarting the server, run „MultiPoint Manager” and go to the „Network Stations” page. In „Clients” table will appear available Avtek ZERO terminals. Select zero-clients that you want to assign to the server and then select the „Assign to this server” option.
