    iv. NETWORK CONFIGURATION 1. ALARM TRIGGERING There are four types of alarms: Motion detection, Video Loss Alarm, External Alarm, and Digital Input from Camera. The following are the possible actions when the alarm is triggered. Every action is configurable (Ex. the screen display pattern, the relay triggered time.etc) and will be explained in the later chapter.

    SETUP MENU * LIVE VIDEO LIVE VIEWING AND POP-UP MENU If you cannot see the side control menu bar, move the mouse cursor to the right side of the display screen to make it appear. It is usually set as displayed at default.

PLUG & PLAY When you turn on the machine for the first time or one of the IP addresses are set ENABLE:OFF, the system will ask you for assigning an IP address to the IP Cameras for getting automatic connection. The system will check addresses from 192.168.X.50, with X being the DVR LAN.

On this mode the user can click on the live view to control direction instead of using the direction key on the control panel. Pre-Alarm Record Time /Post-Alarm Record Time Pre-alarm record means the recording before the alarm is triggered; the post-alarm record means the recording after the alarm is triggered. If you set 5 sec for pre-alarm and 5 sec for post-alarm, the alarm recording length will be total 10 sec.

    HDD PLAYBACK 1. ENTERING THE PLAYBACK MENU On the side menu control bar, click icon to enter Playback mode. There will be a window popping up at the center screen. Click on icon to enter Time Search page where you can see the time frame of your recorded video.

  • Page 72 Once the Smart Search starts, the replay video will go fast-forward until any motion is detected within the detection box. There is also a bar at the bottom of the monitoring screen called the Detection Threshold Meter. By adjusting the pointer in the middle of the bar you are able to adjust the detection level of the smart search.

On “Device Lists”, the software lists all servers. By clicking on the server the IP settings will be show on the right side.     * REMOTE PLAYBACK 1. MAIN SCREEN SETTING (D6 Viewer) D6Viewer.exe is used for playing the DVR backup video. It can be obtained via the Internet or from the CD files; or you can simply obtain it by performing USB backup and DVD-RW backup operation, because the software will be created within the USB device right away.
  • Page 82 B. HDD PLAY Reading the DVR HDD from PC may not be possible since the DVR HDD is in Linux format, so you need “Ext2Fsd” to assign a drive letter to the HD. You can find it in the attached CD or download it from Internet.
