We are therefore your guarantee of a very reliable and functional product. The Mary lift complies with the medial directives for class 1 equipment (MDD 93/42EEC), EN 60601-1, EN60601-1-2, ISO 10535.

    The lift should not be used of there is any doubt about it being in good working order. Do not lift the patient higher than necessary. The Mary lift if not a means of transport, therefore transport of a patient should be restricted as much as possible.

    Connect the charger to the power supply. Connect the Mary power plug to the charger for charging. 6. Use of Lift. The Mary lift is constructed for most normal lift situations, e.g. transfer to and from the toilet, between bed and wheelchair, and to and from the floor.

Before and during a lift, ensure that operator and patient are out of reach of the swing arm. Do not lift the patient higher than necessary.

    11. It is recommended that two operators are present when transferring a patient. 12. Do not try to lift the Mary lift. This is dangerous for both operator and patient. 13. Do not use brakes when the patient is lowered to a sitting position.

    Mary Lift User Manual 03-2015 10. Charging of batteries To ensure the longest possible battery life. Batteries should be charged before use. Charging time depends on the condition of the batteries. Before using the lift for the first time, batteries should be charged for 24 hours to ensure they are fully charged and give the longest possible battery life.

    Mary Lift User Manual 03-2015 11. Changing the batteries. If the lift is not working normally and the batteries are fully charged, it can mean that the batteries’ lifetime is over and they need to be changed. Changing the batteries must only be carried out by qualified personnel.

    In order to avoid injury, the emergency-stop should be activated in (all) transport and cleaning situations. 16. Service. It is recommended that the Mary lift has an annual service performed by qualified personnel. This annual service is also recommended in standard EN ISO 10535. It is the lift’s owner’s responsibility to ensure that the annual service is carried out.

    Mary Lift User Manual 03-2015 17. Storage: If the lift is not to be used for a long period, it is recommended that the emergency stop be activated. The Cathy lift should be stored in a frost-free and under 60% humidity environment.
