Maintenance and care
Cleaning silencer
Care for cutting blades
Wear gloves to protect hands from sharp blades.
Failure to observe these precautions could lead to injury.

CAUTION
3. Loosen 1/4 - 1/2 turn

Never operate the unit with a damage or missing silenc-
er or spark arrester. Operating with a missing or dam-
aged spark arrester is a fire hazard, and could also
damage your hearing.
Carbon deposits in silencer will cause a drop in engine output
and overheating. Spark arrestor screen must be checked pe-
riodically. Clean deposits from silencer.
IMPORTANT
Do not remove the silencer cover. If necessary, Please consult
your dealer.
Lubricating blades (Every 4 hours of operation)
Apply a few drops of oil the each bolt slots at the bottom of
blades.
Cleaning blades (After each use)
Remove gummy residue from blades with a 50 : 50 mixture of
kerosene (paraffin) and machine oil.
Adjusting gap between blades (As needed)
Loosen the locknuts 1/2 turn with T-wrench.
Tighten the blade bolts until snug with 10 mm open end wrench.
Loosen the bolts 1/4 - 1/2 turn.
Hold the bolts from turning and tighten the locknuts.
When bolt adjustment is correct, there should be a gap of 0.25 -
0.50 mm between the cutter blades and the flat washers, and the
flat washer beneath each bolt head should turn freely.
