2. Construction
This impact
w
rench
is
an
electric
tool of class
II
in a
ccordance
with
the
VDE
re
gulations
0740.
In addition
to the
n
ormal insula
-
tion
the
tool
is provided w
ith
double
insulation.
The se
cond
insulation
separate
s all
accessible parts of the
metal
ca
sing
from
all
inte
rnal
parts liable to become
live. The
prote ctive insula
-
tion is tested with the
pre
scribed
te
st voltage of 4000
V
(1500 V
for class I)
. The
machine is radio suppressed in accordance with
radio interference
degree
N. It
is
supplied with
a two-core cable
without e
a
rth
w ire a
nd must not b
e
e
a
rthed.
Gearing
and p
e rcussion mecha
nism
are tota lly
en closed in
the
t ool-head
casing
; their construction is w
ell-planned
and clear.
The
tool h older

rnational
standards

drive
.
The machine
is prov
ided with a reversing switch for
clockwise
and anticlock
w ise
rotation. It must not be operated when the
machine is running.
To prevent the

rbridging of the insulation no additional

signs

riveted or screwed on
the
housing. We

commend
the
use of transfers
only.

plain or
safety
sockets.
4. Mode of Operation
The motor drive
s
the tool
h older with tool
attached
via g

aring
and percussion m echanism.
The
direct
drive
is
cu
t
out
a
s soon
as the
screw
or n
u
t has
b een
roughly
run
down.
Once the motor
reaches its
rated
load,
the
percussion mech
anism comes
into
operation and converts the drive
force of
the motor - which
continues
to run at uniform speed - into an intermittent torque
w
ith
two
strokes for
each rev
olution of
the·
d
riv
e
assembly
.
Screws
and nuts
a re slackene
d in
reverse o rder:
first
pe
rcussion
s trokes, followed by direct drive. The
tool
is
easy
to
h
andle
,
as
the
op
erator needs not
exert
an
y restraining torque
.
As
the
clu
tch will
a
lways disengage as
soon
as the rated
load
is
attain-
ed,
the motor
cannot
be
overload
ed.
