    October 2016 Overview The ALC-1000 is an in-dash multi-function touchscreen computer designed around the unique needs of fleet and enterprise users. The intuitive user interface and consolidated hardware design creates an immersive experience with increased situational awareness, reduced driver workload, improved safety, and unmatched reliability.

    AM/FM Stereo The ALC-1000 includes an integrated AM/FM stereo receiver that enables the user to listen to radio while simultaneously using other applications such as Mobile CAD and Waze. Stereo audio is mixed with sound from Mobile CAD, navigation, and other sources before being routed to the factory vehicle speakers via the integrated 4x45 watt amplifier.

    Rearview Camera The ALC-1000 includes a rearview camera input for connection to a wide array of cameras. When installed, the rearview camera provides a wide-angle view of the rear of your vehicle while reversing. For safety and ease of use, the rearview display mode is automatically activated when the vehicle is placed in reverse (no driver interaction required).

    Installation Though the ALC-1000 includes many connectors, not all are used by each make and model of vehicle. Installation will vary between vehicle types and desired options. Refer to the following diagram for details. GPS Antenna Amp & Sub Outputs...

    Audio / Video Harness The audio/video harness provides connections for optional equipment such as auxiliary audio inputs, subwoofer drivers, amps, cameras, and auxiliary video inputs/outputs. Typical commercial vehicle installations make use of the CAM IN input only, leaving the unused plugs disconnected. All connectors, both used and unused, should be wrapped with electrical tape to prevent inadvertent short circuits with other cables or connectors.

    Device Setup Following installation, the ALC-1000 should be connected to the vehicle’s wireless hotspot if available so that internet based applications such as Waze, MobileCAD, and Atlas Labs Device Management may function properly.   • Page 10 If your SSID is hidden, you will need to manually add it by pressing the “+” sign at the top right of the screen to bring up the following form. Enter the SSID, then select the security key type and password if needed, then click Save. If the hidden SSID is in range, it should connect within approximately 30 seconds.
