When activated using the attached handheld control, these motors will cooperatively and continuously adjust the chair’s surface to the desired position.

To remove the seat cushion: grab both sides, lift up and then pull towards you. (3) After unpacking, lift up the backrest and remove the seat cushion underneath. 4.2 Braking and Steering The braking levers are located on both the left and right sides of the chassis. If a lever is set facing downward, the brakes on that side of the chair are fully engaged. If a lever is set in the middle, neutral position, the wheels on that side can move freely in all directions.
5. Instructions for Use This surgical chair is equipped with five low voltage motors that provide smooth and comfortable positional adjustment. Back, foot, seat, head and total height adjustments are easily controlled via the hand control or undercover foot control. It is also possible to adjust the headrest manually lengthwise. Operating the 500 XLE with the undercover foot control facilitates easier maintenance of sterile working conditions.

The swiveling armrests can be adjusted to fit each patient’s body type. For very small patients, especially children, use the right armrest on the left side of the table and vice versa. Warning: When the hand control is not in use, it should be hung up on one of the armrests or on the metal rails attaching the armrests to the backrest. Proper storage will help to prevent the accidental pushing of buttons, and will protect the cable from damage. For optimal storage and accessibility, use the hand control in combination with the optional hand control holder.
5.2 Improper Loads / Usage The 500XLE is designed to accommodate maximum loads of up to 250kg/550lbs. When calculating the total weight on the chair, please take into account the additional weight of all attached components and accessories.

9. Changing the Control Box To change the control box, first adjust the surgical chair to the lowest possible position using the hand control (buttons 2-6). Be sure to hold down each button until the end position is reached (1). Next, remove the seat (2).

Push the PVC cover upwards and prop up with any available object (5). Next unscrew the control box cable clip from the chassis (6). Move the control box cable upwards and remove all plugs from the control box (7). Now manually remove the two wing bolts on the left side of the control box (8).
After the Control Box is installed, all plugs must be reconnected (9).
