    300WR User Manual About the Router This manual has been written for more advanced users. It is recommended that most users make use of the setup utility that is included in the supplied Utility CD in order to configure their router. If the user wishes to configure their router with non-standard options, or is having difficulty in configuring their router, then this manual should be of some help in solving the problem and/or providing information.

    300WR User Manual Home The Home page provides a one-page summary about the Connection Information, Router Information, Local Network, and Wireless Network settings. Connection Information The Connection Information screen gives you an idea about the status of your Internet connection. This screen includes a Connect/Disconnect button. When clicked, the router makes an attempt to connect to the Internet using the parameters saved in the router.

If you have multiple virtual connections, you may need to utilize the static routing capabilities of the modem to pass data correctly.

    300WR User Manual PPPoE Connection PPP, or point-to-point protocol, is a method of establishing a network connection/session between network hosts. PPPoE is a protocol for encapsulating PPP frames in Ethernet frames and is described in RFC 2516. PPPoE provides the ability to connect to a network of hosts over a simple bridging access device to a remote access concentrator.

A static route is a pre-defined pathway that network information must travel to reach a specific host or network.
