    P-51D, Spitfire and Waco INTRODUCTION Thank you for buying a model from the Airwing Micro Series. Each model has been designed to not only look like its full-size counterpart, but also have a scale performance to match. From the iconic Spitfire, to one of the most exciting US fighters of WW II to the barnstorming Waco biplane, each has all the character of the original in a Ready to Fly format.

    P-51D, Spitfire and Waco C. USING THE MODE CHANGE SWITCH ▼ 1. The transmitter can be used in Mode 1 or Mode 2 format. Mode 2 is the most popular mode in the UK and uses the left-hand stick to control rudder and throttle and the right-hand stick to control ailerons and elevator.

    P-51D, Spitfire and Waco OPERATION CHOOSING YOUR FLYING FIELD The flying field you choose should be a large, open field with grass. There must not be any vehicles, buildings, power lines, trees, large rocks or anything else in the vicinity that the model can crash into. Keep spectators away from the flying area.

    P-51D, Spitfire and Waco OPERATION TAKING OFF ▼ 1. With the model facing into the wind, open the throttle fully. Holding the plane with the wings level, launch the model straight and level. ▼ 2. After launching, use the ailerons and elevator to keep the model flying straight and level.

    P-51D, Spitfire and Waco OPERATION LANDING ▼ 1. When the battery falls below a certain voltage, the auto-cut system will ensure that power to the motor is cut so that sufficient battery remains for radio operation. Typically, flight times of around 3 to 4 minutes per charge will be possible.
