LOUDSPEAKER/HEADPHONE PLUG
A
plug
(14)
is
supplied for
connection
of an
external
speaker
or
headphone
to the Carry-Corder. Connect
as
follows:
Strip
about
1
/s
inch
of
insulation
from
each wire.
Place
plug cover
(a)
and brass strain
relief
clip
(b)
over
wire.
Solder wire
to
plug (c)
Position brass strain relief
clip
(b)
as
shown,
then
pinch
it flat.
Place cover
on
plug
making sure
the index
marking
on
the
cover is
directly
over the groove
on the plug.

ACCIDENTAL ERASURE SAFETY FEATURE
The compact
cassette is provided
with a
recording
in-
terlock safety
featu
re
to
prevent
accidental
erasur
es
of
prerecorded
tapes;
it
prevents
the Record/Lock
pushbut-
t
on
(8) from
functioning.
The cassette
h
as
two
sides
labeled
A
and
B. To
prevent
accidental
erasures,
in the
rear of
th
e
cassette two
knockout tabs
(1
for
each side)
are provided and they
are
easily
removed by using
any
small
instrument;
i.e.:
pencil, key, screwdriver, etc. A
slight forward
pressure
on
the tabs
will remove
it.
