System Error. Have the Battery Charger inspected and repaired by a qualified

technician.
Reverse polarity connection; there is a bad connection; or the voltage of the battery
Er1 is too low. Verify the polarity and connect the Battery Charger accordingly; verify
that the clamp is connected properly; or replace the battery if necessary.
A cell is shorted; or there is excessive load on the battery. Replace the battery; or
Er2
verify the load.
There is a defective cell or a sulphated plate(s). Run the Maintenance cycle for 24
Er3
to 48 hrs, and then retest the battery. Replace the battery if necessary.
Overheated condition. Turn the Battery Charger 'OFF', and allow it to cool down
for 45 minutes. Verify that that the vents on the Battery Charger's housing are not
Er4
obstructed. Try to use the Battery Charger again, if overheating recurs, replace
the Battery Charger.
Cycle time has been exceeded; or the charge rate setting is too low. The Battery
Charger has been running continuously for 20 hours, and the battery has not taken a
Er5
full charge, which indicates that the battery may be bad. Try charging the battery again.
If the error recurs, replace the battery; set the charge rate to a higher setting.
(In "OPTIMAL CHARGING /REMANAT TIME" MODE)
1. Incorrect CCA value is select. Reset battery's CCA value.

2. Battery may be bad, replace the battery if its overheat.
NOTE: When the Er1 Code is detected, proceed with the actions described above. The
Battery Charger should return to 'ON' status when the clamps are reconnected to the battery
posts properly. See the section entitled Operating Instructions in order to select operating
modes or functions. There is no need to reset the 'ON/OFF' button.
STATUS CODE
The power cord is plugged into a 120 V AC power source, and the Battery Charger
OFF
is 'OFF'.
