DISCONNECT UNIT FRO M AC LINE
Remove eith er 117 VAC or 234 VAC jumper(s)
before changing from one to another.

TUNING PROCEDURE
1.
Plug the LA-1000 into a 117VA C source.
2.
Set the Pwr/on switch to the on position.
Set the STY/OPT switch to the STY positions.
ALW AYS ALLO W 3 MINUTES W ARM-UP TIME BEFORE APPLY
ING DRIVE PO W ER TO THE LA-1000.
3.
Set the Meter switch to the
ion.
The plate voltage meter should read approx
imately 1200 VDC.
4.
Tune your exciter in the Tune or C W mode as
stated in your e x cite r's manual.
5.
Reduce C W output using the c a rrie r or C W
level control on your e x c ite r.

Before continuing, never keep the LA-1000
keyed for longer than 15 seconds a t a time w ith
out allowing equal cool down time.
