    DESCRIPTION The AccuMed BAC-180 hand-held breathalyzer is an easy-to- use, accurate, fuel-cell alcohol tester used by professionals, businesses and individuals. The BAC-180 measures blood- alcohol concentration by analyzing the electrochemical reaction between platinum and ethanol molecules.     How often should I re-calibrate the AccuMed tester? The AccuMed BAC-180 tester can remain accurate for 1 year of use. The more frequent the use, the more the unit will need to be calibrated. According to D/N31051, we recommend recalibration every 12 months (or earlier) basis to ensure maximum accuracy.
