    The basic structure along with all safety-related and ergonomic specifications remains unchanged. The CALLIS treadmill is intended for physical training. It is used predominantly in clinics, rehabilitation, gyms and by individuals. It consists of an electrically driven device that is adapted to suit local power supplies and which can be installed and started-up without specialist knowledge.

    4 Safety Instructions 4.1 General Safety Instructions Read the enclosed manual with all it’s safety instructions and warnings before first use to ensure a proper use of the devices. Retain this document, you probably have to retaliate and pass it, if you give the device away. Use device only regarding to it’s purpose.

    4.2 Safe training Before you start training an authorized person/doctor should check your fitness. Note: Please regard article 4.5: Contraindication. Please note that Excessive training may harm your health. If you feel close to a blackout, interrupt the training immediately and consult/visit a doctor. Body fitting sportswear is recommended to avoid inappropriate clothes getting entangled.

    If under medication influence ask your doctor for advice. 4.4 Polar-Pulse systems All CALLIS devices are delivered with an original Polar Pulse-system, which captures the signals over a chest-belt. The wireless data transmission to the displays electronic occurs encrypted. The Polar technology could be disturbed or distorted by magnetic or electromagnetic fields or influences.

    5 Placement Put the device on a solid, even, nonslip and shock resistant ground. A Safety-Area of at least 2.000mm length and at least the devices width behind the treadmill must be ensured. If the device has a reverse direction mode, the same safety-area has to be guaranteed in the front of the device.

    6 Commissioning 6.1 Initial Commissioning The device should acclimate for one hour before the first commissioning. The treadmill has to be run in slowly after longer times out of business. The On-Switch is located at the back of the device. It is designed to switch the power on only. While switching the device on, the user may not stand on the treadmill.
