Installing the Batteries Remote the battery cover from the rear panel of the remote control and place 2 x AAA batteries inside the compartment. Please make sure that the battery polarities match the polarity markings inside the compartments. Using the Remote Control To use the remote control, point it towards the front panel of the receiver.

Connecting to a Television It is recommended to use the HDMI connection to experience the highest video output performance out of your receiver. Connect one end of the HDMI cable* to the receiver, and then connect the other end to the TV as displayed on the illustration below.

First Time Installation After all connections have been made properly, make sure that the receiver is connected to the power outlet. After checking connection to power outlet, turn on TV and press the Power button on the receiver. If you are using the receiver for the first time or if it the receiver was restored to factory default settings, the Installation Guide menu will appear on your screen.

a. Program Edit To edit the program preferences (lock, skip, favorite, move or delete), please enter this menu selection. This menu selection requires a password for access. The default password is 000000. The master unlock password is 888888. Set Favorite Channels You can create a shortlist of favorite programs that you can easily access from the Favorite Program menu.

3. Channel Search To access the Channel Search menu, press the MENU button on the remote control and select “Search Channel” using the RIGHT/LEFT buttons on the remote control. This menu provides options to adjust the channel search settings. Press the UP/DOWN buttons on the remote control to select an option and press the RIGHT/LEFT buttons to adjust the settings.

If a channel is found, it would be saved and added to the channels list. If channels are not found during searching, the receiver would exit the menu automatically.

Deleting Scheduled Event If at any time you wish to delete a scheduled event for recording, press the BLUE function button to view the list of scheduled events. Use the arrow keys on the remote control to highlight the event you wish to delete, and then press the BLUE function button again to delete it.
