    SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AIR COMPRESSOR HAZARDS • It is normal to have some sparks within the motor and pressure switch. • Do not let the compressor come into contact with flammable vapors, as the sparks from the motor and pressure switch may ignite the flammables and cause an explosion. Always operate the compressor in a well-ventilated place free of flammable vapors.

    • Authorized service center personnel should perform repairs. • Portable compressors can fall from tables or rooftops causing serious injuries or death to the operator. Always operate the compressor in a stable secure position to prevent accidental movement of the unit. Do not operate the compressor on a roof or other elevated positions.

    INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ON SETTING UP YOUR UNIT To begin setting up your compressor • Begin setting up the air compressor in clean, dry, and well-ventilated area. • Keep the compressor at least 1 foot away from the wall or other objects that may interfere with the flow of air.

    EXTENSION CORDS It is recommended that more air hose be used instead of an extension cord. Using more extension cord will cause a voltage drop resulting in power loss to the motor. If an extension cord must be used, verify that it is: •...
  • Page 8 Safety Valve: If the pressure switch is malfunctioning and does not turn the compressor off after the pressure in the tank is too high, there is a safety valve that will protect against high pressure by “popping out” at its factory set pressure (slightly higher than the pressure switch “cut-out setting”).

    Air Intake Filter: This filter cleans the air that comes into the air compressor pump. This filter should always be clean and free from debris. Check Valve: The check valve permits air to enter the tank when the air compressor pump is pumping air.

    AIR FILTER-INSPECTION AND REPLACEMENT WARNING Before servicing your compressor, please let the compressor cool down. When removing parts from the compressor, there are hot surfaces that can cause severe burns. Dirty air filters will bring down the compressors operating performance. Keep the air filter clean at all times.

    LIMITED WARRANTY Eastern Tools & Equipment, Inc. will repair or replace, free of charge, any part or parts of the compressor that are defective in material or workmanship or both. Transportation charges on parts submitted for repair or replacement under this Warranty must be borne by purchaser. This warranty is effective for the time period and subject to the conditions provided for in this policy.

Warranty will not cover repair when normal use has exhausted the life of a part of an engine.
