PROCEDURE
If
you
replace the space
motor
or
the
space
belt,
you need
to adjust
the tension
of
the
space
belt.
Follow disassembly procedures
(pages 4-6
or 4-8) for
replacing the
space
motor
or
space
belt.
Adjust the tension by
moving
the
idle
pulley
bracket
in
either direction so
that the tension
is
between
80 and 140 g
when
the
space
belt
is
depressed
5
mm
at
the point
illustrated
below
in
Figure
4-5.
Follow
the
assembly procedure
on,
pages
4-6 or
4-8.

determine
that the
first
character
printing position
is
accurate
(see
Figure
4-9).
If
it
is
not,
follow the
procedure

the space motor's
mounting screws

the
motor
