    WARNING! DO NOT handle the plug or sander with wet hands USE only accessories as described in this manual and recommended by CUTECH. 10. DO NOT pull the sander by the power cord. NEVER allow the power cord to come in contact with sharp edges, hot surfaces, oil or grease.

    GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS WARNING! This machine MUST BE GROUNDED while in use to protect the operator from electric shock. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, GROUNDING provides the path of least resistance for electric current and reduces the risk of electric shock. The plug MUST be plugged into a matching electrical receptacle that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with ALL local codes and ordinances.

    ASSEMBLY WARNING! MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE MACHINE IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE POWER SOURCE. CAUTION: THE SANDER MUST BE ASSEMBLED BEFORE USE. DO NOT PLUG UNIT INTO POWER SOURCE UNTIL THE UNIT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY ASSEMBLED. MOUNTING THE SANDER TO A WORKBENCH Before attempting to use this sander, it should be properly mounted to a workbench or stand 1.
  • Page 14 To avoid trapping the workpiece or your fingers between the table and disc, adjust the position of the table on its mounting bracket to maintain a gap of no more than 1/16” (2 mm) ASSEMBLY (cont.)   • Page 18 OPERATIONS (cont.) SURFACE SANDING ON THE BELT When sanding flat broad surfaces on the belt hold the workpiece firmly on the surface of the belt and against the backstop, keeping fingers away from the sanding belt. Consider using a push or hold-down stick.
