The current in the PSU may dissipate when offline at sub-zero temperatures. Under no circumstances should you charge your LE5B at sub-zero temperatures. That will damage the lithium ion batteries and it is possible that the battery capacity cannot be restored. -

NOTE If the unit is operated for more than 12 hours without a load, the AC output switches off automatically to prevent internal consumption. -
