Information for spectacle wearers
− Turn up the eyepiece (5) and adjust the dioptre setting back to "0".
If your glasses have a distance section, please use that area of the
lens to look through the binoculars.
− You can compensate for flaws in your eyesight using the dioptre
setting as described above.
− Contact lens wearers can adjust the settings in the same way as
non-spectacle wearers.
Tips on correct handling of your binoculars
Binoculars are high quality optical precision instruments. Please read
the following information to preserve those positive attributes over
the long term.
− Hold your binoculars as steadily as possible. Preferably hold them
with both hands and prop up your elbows on a surface free of
vibration.
− Press the eyepieces firmly against your eyebrows or, turned
around, against the distance section of your glasses.
− Wipe splashed water (splashed salt water) off with a soft, dry cloth
and then rub your binoculars dry with a clean and dry, soft cloth
free of fluff.
− Binoculars are sensitive to excessive heat and humidity.
− Do not expose your binoculars to direct sunlight for longer
periods. Do not leave them lying in a locked car parked in the sun.
− Keep your binoculars away from water and high humidity.
Humidity getting in to your binoculars might damage the glass!
− Protect your binoculars against impact, falls and other strong
mechanical influences.
− Do not touch the binocular lenses. Use a soft, fluff free cloth or
paper to clean the lenses. Do not use spectacle cleaning wipes,
because that might damage the coating.
