Once it detects a distortion or other noticeable cut, it stabilizes the integrity of the output signal thereby avoiding overloading and saturation levels that might damage the system.

ALTAiR PROFESSIONAL POWER AMPLIFIERS MF SERIES OUTPUT POWER CONNECTION. MODES OF OPERATION Each channel includes a pair of five-way binding post and a SPEAKON connector. ® These connectors are wired inside in parallel. The red binding post is positive and the black is ground. -

The limiter configuration in the models MF8 and MF12 takes place in the driver board (DRIVER MF8/12 ALTAIR- 074). Part of this board is showed in the next figure. This badge is located parallel to the power amplifier bottom plate. The driver board is wide, occupying almost the whole width of the power amplifier. -
