    Safety instructions Safety instructions Intended use This device is intended to be used as moving-head spotlight. The device is designed for profes‐ sional use and is not suitable for use in households. Use the device only as described in this user manual.
  • Page 11 Safety instructions Sicherheit DANGER! Danger for children Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are not within reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard! Ensure that children do not detach any small parts (e.g. knobs or the like) from the unit.

Do not modify the mains cable or the plug. Failure to do so could result in electric shock/death or fire. If in doubt, seek advice from a regis‐ tered electrician.

    Installation Installation Unpack and carefully check that there is no transportation damage before using the unit. Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the device against vibration, dust and moisture during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your own packaging material suitable for transport or storage, respectively.
  • Page 18 Installation WARNING! Risk of injury by falling off Make sure that the installation complies with the standards and rules that apply in your country. Always secure the device with a secondary safety attachment, such as a safety cable or a safety chain. The carrying capacity of the truss or other mounting must be sufficient for the intended number of devices.

Possible data transmission errors For error-free operation make use of dedicated DMX cables and do not use ordi‐ nary microphone cables.
  • Page 21 Installation Mounting options The threads on the bottom side of the housing allow the secure attachment of the included mounting bracket. There, you can fasten adapters such as half couplers, trigger clamps, c- hooks etc. Safety ropes are routed through the notches on the bottom of the housing, as shown in the following figure.

  • Page 23 Starting up Connections in DMX mode Connect the DMX input of the device to the DMX output of a DMX controller or another DMX device. Connect the output of the first DMX device to the input of the second one, and so on to form a daisy chain.
  • Page 24 Starting up DMX indicator If the device and the DMX controller are in operation, the DMX indicator shows an incoming DMX signal at the input. Connections in master/slave When you configure a group of devices in master/slave mode, the first unit will control the mode other units for an automatic, sound-activated, synchronized show.

    Operating 7.2 Main menu Press the [MODE/ESC] button to activate the main menu and to select a menu item. When the desired menu item appears in the display, confirm the selection using the [ENTER] button. The bottom line of the display starts flashing. Use the [UP] and [DOWN] buttons to change the currently displayed value.
  • Page 31 Operating DMX address Repeatedly press the [MODE/ESC] button until the display shows ‘dxxx’ . Now you can set the number of the first DMX channel used by the device (DMX address). Use the [UP] and [DOWN] buttons to select a value between 1 and 512. Make sure that this number matches your DMX controller configuration.
