connected to a battery without a battery
fuse rated at 10 A.
No Battery
Naps MaxPower can withstand the battery
being disconnected while in use. Under
such conditions the output voltage may
momentarily rise above 20 V. To prevent
damage to loads do not disconnect
battery with Naps MaxPower con-
nected to loads
Overload
The unit protects itself against overloads
by reducing the output current to a maxi-
mum of 10 A.

Installation

Locate Naps MaxPower so that the battery
cable is as short as possible. This reduces
losses and gives more accurate charge
control. For correct battery charge tem-
perature compensation, the unit should
also be installed in the same temperature
as the battery, i.e. in the same room or
cubicle.
Fix the top screw to a wall, etc, leaving
approximately 2 mm of screw exposed.
Hang the controller on this screw, and
secure it with the two other screws beside
the printed circuit board.

Electrical connection

Select the correct charge setting for your
battery with switch 2 (see at the right).
Connect the battery cable first to the B+
and B- connectors and then to the battery,
ensuring correct polarity. Insert the battery
fuse. The green indicator should then light
up.
Observe correct polarity!
Always use a 10 A battery fuse!
Connect the solar (or photovoltaic) module
cables to the S+ and S- connectors.
Close the box with the snap-on plastic
rivets.
