Before using the sweeper for the first time, place the battery pack in the battery charger and charge for 24 hours. Make sure to read all safety precautions, and follow the instructions in the Battery Charger section. -

THE BATTERY CHARGER Charging Procedure (Fig. I) Charge the batteries before using for the first time.With regular use the battery pack will need one hour orless to charge. Occasionally, and after prolonged storagetime, charge the batteries again. Nickel-cadmium batteriescan develop a memory for usage and storage times. -

MAINTENANCE WARNING To avoid personal injury and risk of fire and electric shock, always remove the battery pack before adjusting, inspecting, or cleaning. Cleaning Remove the battery pack. 1. Brush or sweep dust and debris out of the air vents using compressed air or a vacuum. Keep them free of obstructions, sawdust and wood chips. -
