Instructions for use Accessories Maintenance Warranty 1 geneRAl InStRuctIonS The Yepp trailer can be used as both a bicycle trailer or a buggy. Only use the bicycle trailer during daylight on good cycle paths and/or roads with little traffic; if used as a buggy, only use it on pavements. We recommend using an approved lighting set when used in the dark or during bad weather conditions. The Yepp trailer is not suitable for use under other conditions such as using it on unpaved areas. We do not recommend transporting children with animals, loading it too heavily, going at a speed that is too high, using it incorrectly, making product changes or not having repairs done by professionals. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for damage as a result of incorrect use. The user is responsible for the correct use of the product. Check whether the Yepp trailer is complete (fig.1). The Yepp trailer consists of the following parts: • Y epp trailer frame • 2 x 20” wheels with quick-lock • 1 x 7” rotary wheel for buggy use • 1 x bicycle coupler • 1 x Yepp safety flag SAfetY Safe use of the Yepp trailer is very important. It is, therefore, very important that you carefully read and always follow the safety recommendations and warnings before use. general safety instructions • K eep these instructions for future reference. • I f you do not follow the instructions, the safety of your child may be at risk. • n ever leave your child or children alone without supervision in the Yepp trailer. • A lways use the handbrake when the Yepp trailer is parked. • D o not transport additional children or luggage in the trailer.
• T he head of the passenger may not be above the frame. The maximum height is indicated on the information label on the back of the interior. • O nly park the Yepp trailer on a flat surface and always use the parking brake. • H ave your bicycle inspected by a professional before you have the bicycle trailer installed. • T he maximum total weight including passengers and loads is 45 kg for the Yepp Duo. • T he maximum total weight including the passenger and loads is 37 kg for the Yepp Solo. • T he cyclist must be experience and sufficiently strong to cycle with a trailer. • N ever cycle in the dark without approved lighting. We can supply approved rear lights for the Yepp trailer (art. 050908); • C heck whether the trailer does not impede cycling before every cycle journey and especially when braking, using the pedals and steering. wARnIng! • I f the Yepp trailer is used as a bicycle trailer, the buggy wheel on the front must be removed. Place the buggy wheel in the wheel support on the side. • I f the Yepp trailer is used as a buggy, the drawbar must be removed.

P ull the locking spring around the protruding part of the pin on the other side (fig.11). • C heck whether the wheel is correctly secured by pulling it. • n eVeR use the buggy wheel without the locking pin. 5.6 Installation of the drawbar I nsert the drawbar from the front side into the hole under the Yepp trailer. Ensure that the S-form points to the right when you are standing in front of the trailer (fig.12). I nsert the locking pin in the hole on the side so that the pin goes through the drawbar and protrudes on the other side. P ull the locking spring around the protruding part of the pin (fig.11). Check whether the drawbar is correctly secured by pulling it. neVeR use the drawbar without the locking pin. 5.5 putting away the buggy wheel The Yepp trailer is equipped with a useful clamp for the buggy wheel. If the trailer is used as a bicycle trailer, you can easily put away the buggy wheel on the side of the trailer. Ensure that the buggy wheel is secured correctly in the holder (clicks in place) (fig.13). 5.6 putting away the drawbar The Yepp trailer is equipped with a drawbar holder on the outside of the trailer. If the trailer is used as a buggy, you can easily put away the drawbar on the side of the trailer. First insert the drawbar in the loop on the side of the trailer (fig.14) and, next, click the other side in the holder and secure it using the Velcro belt. Ensure that the rivet on the bottom side of the drawbar remains behind the bracket; this will ensure that the drawbar cannot slide to the front (afb.15). 5.7 Installing the flag The flag is made up of 2 parts. Insert both parts into each other and place the flag in the cover on the side of the trailer. AlwAYS use the bicycle flag when using the trailer as a bicycle trailer to ensure good visibility in traffic. 5.8 Adjusting the push handle If you use the Yepp trailer as a buggy, you can adjust the position of the push handle based on your personal preference and length. Unlock the two clamps on the left and right (fig.16) and move the handle towards you. If required, loosen the clamps a few turns. Once the correct adjustment has been achieved, you can again fix the handle by tightening both clamps. If they do not clamp enough, you can tighten the clamps a few turns before you fix the clamps. When used as a trailer, we recommend folding the push handle fully to the front and to again secure it using the clamps. 5.9 use of the brake P ull the round black button to position A (fig.17); the trailer will be on the brake in this position. Always check whether the brake has really been engaged. 5.10 Installing the bicycle coupler First the coupler must be installed on the rear shaft of the bicycle before you can use the trailer as a bicycle trailer. In principle, this is the left side (when viewed from the cycling direction) of the bicycle. Use the side that does not have the bicycle chain installed (fig.18). Loosen the nut of the rear shaft of the bicycle and position the trailer coupler on the shaft. Next, again position the nut on the shaft and tighten it using the torque recommended by the bicycle manufacturer. We recommend having a recognised professional carry out this installation for reasons of safety. 5.11 connecting the trailer to the bicycle Check that everything has been installed correctly before you connect the trailer to the bicycle. D isengage the belts by pinching on the side and, at the same time, pushing the 2 semicircles. P ut the passenger(s) in the trailer. For the Yepp Duo: if there is only one passenger in the Yepp Duo, this passenger must be put on the right-hand side. S lide the height adjustment of the belt up until shoulder height. T o open the locking mechanism: press both semicircles and, at the same time, push both sides. S et the belts to the correct length by using the sliding clasps. Ensure that the soft shoulder pads are positioned on the passenger's shoulders. Engage the belts. A lso always engage the hip belt. wARnIng this seat is unit is not suitable for children under 6 months. for children under 6 months an approved baby accessory must be used. notIce when seating a child in the carrier always seat the child on the right side. 6.2 use of the cover options The Yepp trailer is equipped with 2 different locking options as standard that you can use depending on the use and the weather conditions. We recommend rolling up the plastic cover window and closing the fly screen for maximum ventilation. The passengers will then be protected against, for example, insects. If it is raining, you can close the plastic cover screen and secure it using the Velcro belt. If it is used as a bicycle trailer, we recommend always closing the screen against unwanted things that may fly in. wARnIng the user of this child carrier must be aware of exposure hazards such as wind chill and heat exhaustion, either by prolonged exposure in colder temperatures, or by extended periods in warmer temperatures without adequate ventilation or hydration. Check what is on offer by visiting www.yepptrailers.nl (regularly updated). mAIntenAnce The Yepp trailer is made of sustainable materials of a high quality that will provide many years of pleasurable use Obviously, a Yepp trailer will also suffer from wear and tear. This wear, however, is partly dependent on use and treatment. The instructions below are important to ensure you enjoy the Yepp trailer as long as possible. • P ut away the Yepp trailer in a dry and correctly ventilated room as much as possible if you will not be using it for a longer period of time. • N ever fold and put away the Yepp trailer wet or moist. The fabric may become mouldy. If you do have to fold the Yepp trailer when it is wet, ensure that it is unfolded as soon as possible and that it dries to prevent shrinkage. • T he Yepp trailer fabric has a water-resistant coating. Cleaners may damage this coating and must, therefore, not be used. Only use lukewarm water to clean. • R egularly check whether the fabric has not been damaged or is worn and have any damage repaired immediately. • R egularly check the tyre pressure of the rear wheels. It must be between 2.1 and 2.5 bar. Ensure the tyres have sufficient tread and replace them in a timely manner. • R egularly clean the wheels and shafts and ensure they are correctly lubricated.

Costs to consumers within the warranty. The consumer is responsible for all shipping costs that are required to send the product to the manufacturer or distributor for reasons of warranty cover and/or service. Costs to consumers beyond the warranty. When proof of purchase cannot be produced or when the product is no longer covered by the warranty period of one year, the manufacturer (or distributor) is entitled to charge for service fees and/or costs related to the replacement/repair of parts.
