    Important Safety Instructions Read all instructions and keep for future reference. This air conditioner must always be used, stored and transported upright. After being transported, the unit should be stood upright for a few hours (at least 6 hours recommended) before being turned on. This time allows the compressor contents to settle sufficiently.

    Installation Location: First, choose a window that opens outdoors – this is important so that the hot exhaust air from the air conditioner is dissipated efficiently away from the room. The air conditioner must only be used on a flat, stable surface. The air conditioner must not be used in the bathroom, laundry, kitchen or other places where water or other liquids could splash onto it.
  • Page 6 Connecting to the Window Kit: Place the Sliding Window Kit in the window near which the air conditioner will operate, then slide it out as far as it can (see diagram above for expansion range of the Window Kit in vertical-sliding and horizontal-sliding windows). Slide the window so that there is no gap between the window and the Window Kit (this is important to prevent outside air from entering the room).

    Operation 1. Before Use Check that the Exhaust Hose has been mounted properly (see ‘Installation’ section). If the Exhaust Hose is not correctly used, hot air will blow back into the room you are trying cool. Check that the drain plug at the bottom rear of the unit is securely plugged in, to preve water leaks (see ‘8.

    8. Draining the Water Tank This Air Conditioner has an internal water tank that collects water that condenses inside the unit during normal operation. When this water tank fills with water, the ‘Water Full’ Indicator on the Control Panel will blink, and the water tank must be emptied before further use is possible.
