  • Page 3 Setting up the AdvanceCommunicator™ 1. Place the AdvanceCommunicator™ in a convenient position withi easy reach of an AC power outlet. 2. Attach the plug at the end of the coil cord of the handset into the corresponding RJ45 handset receptacle on the back of the AdvanceCommunicator™. 3. To remove the handset from the Cradle, press the release button on the top of the cradle. The Handset will snap forward allowing the phone to be removed out of the cradle. Making and Receiving calls in Hands Free Mode. 1. Turn on the phone. 2. To make a call in Hands‐free mode, dial the desired number on the phone keypad and press SEND/GREEN BUTTON. Speak towards the Microphone situated on the bottom right corner of the AdvanceCommunicator™ 3. The voice of the person you are calling will be heard via the built‐ in speaker in the AdvanceCommunicator™ 4. To receive a call in Hands‐free mode, press the SEND/GREEN Button on the phone or press briefly on the EPTT/Space bar and speak towards the Microphone.   • Page 5 Making and Receiving calls via the Handset. 1. To make a call using the AdvanceCommunicator™ Handset, dial the desired number on the phone’s keypad and press the SEND/GREEN button. Use the handset as you would with a regular desktop phone. 2. To receive a call with the Handset, lift the Handset and press the SEND/GREEN button on the phone’s keypad. Use the handset as you would with a regular desktop phone. . To end a call while using the handset, place the handset back into he cradle and press the END/RED button on the phone. The charge time will be onger if h t e portable op rational duri g cha ge time. NOTE: Batteries of the phone will charge within the temperature window of ‐10 C to +40 C (50 F to 104 F). If the battery is outside this temperature window, no charge current will be supplied to the battery.

To use the Headset with the AdvanceCommunicator™ unplug the privacy handse t supplied w ith the u nit d r emov e it fr om i cradle) and plug the RJ45 connector of t he H dse t into corresponding RJ45 receptacle back the AdvanceCommunicator™ 2. Once connected, audio will be transferred to the Headset. . PTT calls can be made with the PTT/Space Bar or the PTT button n the cable on the Headset. 3. Foot Pedal ‐ Part # ATT 8400A (with Part # ATT8405A) 1. To use the Foot Pedal with the AdvanceCommunicator™ unplug the privacy handset supplied with the unit (and remove it from its cradle) 2. NOTE: If neither the he dset nor Foot Pedal work, swap around he plugs into the Y Adapter Connector. 7.
