- Page 7 HOW TO READ AND USE THE MANUAL This Use and Maintenance Manual provides information on the utilisation, installation and maintenance of the DUNE sandblasting equipments, manufactured by Zhermack S.p.A. • The sandblasting equipment must be used in accordance with the instructions in this manual: it is therefore recommended that you read it carefully prior to installation and start-up.

MAINTENANCE AND USE MANUAL CHAPTER 4: TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND OPERATING START The DUNE has been designed to sandblast items used in the odontotechnics field. The DUNE unit is available as the DUNE Mod.2 (two nozzles) and the DUNE Mod.3 (three nozzles). The constant-pressure tungsten carbide nozzles are available in various sizes so that the technician/operator can set up a sandblaster that meets his requirements perfectly. - Page 16 Should there be any damage or missing parts you must inform the Zhermack S.p.A. MAINTENANCE AND USE MANUAL CHAPTER 6: INSTALLATION AND FIRST-TIME USE WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS Before proceeding with installation make sure that all relevant safety conditions prevail and follow the instructions below carefully. So as to provide greater clarity the numbers given in the diagrams in this chapter correspond exactly to the numbering in the Components Table (Ch. -

MAINTENANCE AND USE MANUAL Worktops 6.3.1 The sandblasting DUNE equipment has been designed for use on a rigid worktop parallel to the floor. Suitable worktops include service furniture (where the operator is standing) or modelling tables (where work is done sitting down). All worktops must be checked for stability. -

Using the equipment for any purpose other than that described in this Manual shall be considered improper and thus forbidden. Improper use renders the Warranty null and void and the Zhermack S.p.A. shall not be liable for any damages to objects, workers or third parties. - Page 21 MAINTENANCE AND USE MANUAL CHAPTER 7: USING THE EQUIPMENT WARNINGS The equipment must not be used with any of its parts disassembled: before using the equipment make sure that all its components are properly in place. To ensure that work is done in absolute safety always make sure that you follow the described procedures with caution.
- Page 22 MAINTENANCE AND USE MANUAL It is forbidden to mix sands of different particle size: observing this rule will prevent the fine sand cylinder (with correspondingly narrow nozzle outlet) from being “contaminated” with large-grain sand: any such contamination would certainly obstruct the nozzles and seriously damage the equipment. For the same reason it is forbidden to recycle sand used during previous work sessions.
