    Matrix Abbreviated Dialing Personal Abbreviated Dialing • You can store up to 10 numbers of your choice in personal memory. The location codes for Personal Abbreviated Dialing are 01-10. How to program numbers in personal memory? Lift the handset. Dial tone Dial 108-Location Code-Trunk Confirmation Access Code-Number-#*.

    Matrix Example: To program telephone number 265-2630555 at Location Index 05 with trunk access code ‘82’. Dial 108-05-82-02652630555-#* Once this location is programmed with the number, dial 605 to call the number. Global Abbreviated Dialing • You can dial out numbers stored in the global memory of the system using specific codes.

Date and Time Alarm • You can ask the Cosine to remind you on a specific date at a specific time.

Cancel Alarms • You can ask the Cosine to cancel all the pending alarms. Dialing 160 from the station will cancel all the alarms set on that station.

    Matrix Cancel Remotely Alarms Lift the handset. Dial tone Confirmation tone Dial 165-Station-0. Replace the handset. Auto Call Back Auto Call Back-On Busy • You need not keep dialing busy station repeatedly. Instead can request Auto Call Back by dialing ‘2’ when you get busy tone.

    Matrix Example: Dialed number was busy. Auto Redial was requested by dialing 171. To cancel Auto Redial request, the station user should dial 170. Barge-In • When your call is urgent and you cannot wait for the called person to become free, you can land in his conversation after intimating him.

    Matrix Call Follow Me • After going to your co-worker’s desk if you desire to receive your calls on his station, you can use this feature. Lift the handset on your station. Dial tone Dial 135-Station-User Confirmation tone Password . Example: Your station number is 201.

  • Page 22 Matrix If 137-1 is set, followed by 134-62-2630555 by station 23, only external calls landing on station 23 are forwarded to 2630555. Any internal call landing on station 23 is not forwarded to the external number. Cancel Call Forward • You can cancel Call forward from source as well as destination.

    Matrix the stations 23 and 24 will ring simultaneously and the user can answer the call from either station. Disable Call Forward-Dual Ring Lift the handset. Dial tone Dial 1360. Confirmation tone Replace the handset. • On using this command Call Forward feature would work normally as explained above.

    Matrix • Please do not forget to retrieve the parked call. If you do not retrieve the call within the programmed time (Call Park Time) the call will return back automatically. Call Pick Up • Cosine offers two types of call pick up facility viz. Call Pick Up-Group and Call Pick Up-Selective.

Ring back tone Replace the handset. • You can transfer a call without waiting for the destination to answer. This is also known as “Wait For Ring Transfer”. If the called station does not respond to the ring within programmed time, the call comes back to the station that transferred the call.

Continued Dialing • Continued Dialing allows you to dial the desired external number, wait for the called party to answer and then dial additional digits.

    Matrix Department Call • Cosine offers flexibility to group stations belonging to a particular department. This group is called department group. • The group is identified by an access code (Department Number). • To call the department you can dial the access code of the department.

    Matrix Dynamic Lock • You can lock the station to avoid misuse of local and long distance dialing in your absence. The lock operates with a 4-digits password called User Password. Default Password is 1111. Station can be locked manually or automatically. Select Auto or Manual Lock Lift the handset.

    Matrix Forced Answer • You can force the called party to answer the call by making the destination station’s speaker go Off-Hook. This is useful when the called party is not responding to the call in spite of the station ringing continuously. Lift the handset.

  • Page 40 Matrix • Delayed hot line is possible. After lifting the handset you do not get connected to the station immediately but get regular dial tone. If you do not dial anything during this short dial tone, the Cosine places the hotline call to the station. Lift the handset.

    Matrix Interrupt Request • When your call is urgent and you cannot wait for the called person to become free, you can land in his conversation after intimating him. While landing, you get music and the called person gets beeps for 45 seconds. Lift the handset.

    Matrix Last Number Redial • You can redial the last number dialed, be it a station or an external number. This saves time during retrying a busy external number. Lift the handset. Dial tone Dial 7 . Silence. The system grabs a trunk. Trunk dial tone The system inserts pause.

    Matrix Message Paging • You can page a message of your choice to a group of stations. • However, SLT users cannot receive a page. Lift the handset. Paging • You can deliver a message to a mass of people just by lifting your handset and dialing a code. This feature is helpful when it is required to call few people for a meeting.

    Matrix Raid • You can enter into the conversation of the called busy station without his knowledge. • The station you raid does not come to know that you have entered in his conversation unless you speak something (programmable). Lift the handset. Dial tone Dial Station.

    Matrix (North American/South American users) Lift the handset. Dial tone Dial 89-Trunk Software Port Dial tone of the trunk Number. Dial desired external number. System Administrator (SA) Mode • SA mode allows SA to change few system settings without entering the SE mode. It is a subset of the full-blown SE mode and hence supports only a few programming commands.
